To see it from up close, you need to go to Chueca, Madrid’s LGBTI+ quarter, which has numerous stages during the event featuring live music and cultural activities.
Easter Week is one of the most solemn and moving festivals in Spain, and in Zamora (Castile-León), it is a particularly special experience. You’ll notice a big difference between the daytime and nighttime processions: silence and seclusion are the key features of the religious associations that come out by night and in the early morning, whereas the daytime processions are full of music and light.
